Lee Corso will retire from the ‘College Gameday’ of ESPN after a four decades race

The race of almost four decades of Lee Corso in “College Gameday” of ESPN is coming to an end.

Corso, for a long time BroadCaster ESPN and former coach Widely known for its endearing expressions and the elaborate helmets selections, it will retire after a race with the program that began in 1987, ESPN announced on Thursday. Its final broadcast will be on August 30, week 1 of the 2025 University Soccer Season, and the Network said that additional programming is also planned to celebrate Corso.

“My family and I will be indebted forever for the opportunity to be part of ESPN and ‘College Gameday’ for almost 40 years,” Corso said in a statement to ESPN. “I have a treasure of many friends, good memories and some unusual experiences to take me to retirement.”

Corso, who turns 90 in August, began his Popular helmet segment In October 1995 in a game in Ohio State. Since then, 286-144 has gone in 430 selections with everything, from helmets and pet heads to dressing as the Irish goblin of Notre Dame, the Stanford tree and the historical figures James Madison and Benjamin Franklin.

Corso was a university and professional football coach for 28 years before the transition to the transition. He trained 15 years at the University in Louisville, Indiana and northern Illinois.
