Paris – A woman accusing the French actor Gérard Depardieu of sexual assault told a Historical judgment in Paris On Wednesday, he puts the buttocks and his breasts several times in three separated incidents in a film.
Depardieu, 76, is accused of Attacking a 54 -year -old dressing table and a 34 -year -old assistant during the filming in 2021 of “Les Volets Verts” (“The Green Shutters”). It denies any sexual assault.
On the 3rd of the Paris trial he focused on the testimony of the youngest plaintiff, who said that Depardieu first touched his butt when he was alone with him for a brief moment between the area behind the stage and the film.
“Out of nowhere, he put his hand on my butt,” he said, adding that he was “under surprise”, “petrified” and said nothing.
In a second incident, he said that Depardieu suddenly put his hands in his breasts: “I said no, I was afraid.”
He also described telling Depardieu “no” during a similar third incident.
The plaintiff said he informed the problem to his direct manager, who later alerted others in charge of film production, which caused the actor’s anger.
Depardieu repeatedly denied the accusations on Wednesday in court, saying: “I am not so.”
“I think maybe, I don’t know, she was cautious due to my reputation for being vulgar, raw, rude,” said Depardieu. “But I’m not just that. I still respect people.”
The actor also told the Court that he is almost always accompanied by assistants on the set of the film, including his body guard, and suggested that he would rarely meet a film worker.
On Tuesday, Depardieu acknowledged that he had used a vulgar and sexualized language with the dressing table that accused him of sexual assault. He said he grabbed his hips during an argument, but denied that his behavior was sexual.
Associated Press does not identify with the name of the people who say they were sexually attacked unless they consent. None of the women has done it in this case.
The four -day trial would continue on Thursday, with the expected verdict at a later date.
The actor faces up to five years in prison and a fine of 75,000 euros ($ 81,000) if he is convicted.
