The unlikely offer of Nottingham Forest for the qualification of the Champions League was strengthened with a 1-0 victory over Manchester City sick in the Premier League on Saturday, with the end Callum Hudson-odoi scoring the goal in the 83rd minute.
The city’s goalkeeper, Ederson Moraes, was defeated in his close position by the Hudson -odo Shot in one of the few clear opportunities in a tight game in the city.
The third place Forest, who was fighting the descent last season, moved four points of the city of fourth place, the winner of the last four titles of the Premier League.
The Pep Guardiola team will not do five in a row and has a fight in their hands just to finish among the top five of the League, which should be enough to qualify for the Champions League.
City has stabilized after a terrible end of 2024, but has still lost three of its last five league games, against the first three of Liverpool, Arsenal and now Forest.
Forest has 10 remaining games, since it seems to return to the higher competition in Europe, which the club won in 1979 and ’80 under Brian Clough.
Later on Saturday, Liverpool can stay 16 points for the arsenal of second place when he receives Southampton in the last place.
