Seoul, South Korea – Han Jong-Hee, a Samsung electronics executive, accredited by the company’s television business elevation, died Tuesday, the company said. He was 63 years old.
Han, an executive co -chair who supervised the business of mobile and electronic devices of consumption of the company, died in a hospital after being treated by a heart attack, Samsung said.
Han joined Samsung in 1988 and spent most of his career in television -related divisions, during which the company became the world leader television manufacturer. He was appointed co-vice president and CEO in 2022.
Samsung, one of the world’s largest technology companies, has double strengths in finished components and consumption products. The company had separate CEOs for its two main commercial divisions, the other is a computer chips, which are under the broader leadership of the corporate heir and third generation president Lee Jae-Yong.
Jun Young Hyun, the executive director of semiconductors, will now assume Han’s homework as the only CEO of the company, Samsung said in a regulatory presentation.
