Courtney B. Vance to narrate the audio edition of the premanteged Biography of Web Du Bois

New York – Awarded actor Courtney B. Vance It will narrate the first edition of Ever-Audio audio of one of the most acclaimed literary biographies of the last 30 years, David leveraging the work of two Lewis volumes on the academic, author and civil rights activist Wooden Network.

The first volume is scheduled for June 17.

“As a lover of history, I was attracted to the award -winning biography of Web du Bois,” Vance said in a statement published Wednesday by Simon AND Schuster audio. “Having the opportunity to reintroduce their legacy to audiophiles by narrating their life story has been a project of honor and true passion for me.”

Lewis received Pulitzer awards for each of his Du Bois books: “Web du Bois: Biography of A Race, 1868-1919”, published in 1993, and “Web du Bois: The Fight for equality and the American century, 1919–1963”, which came out in 2000. The historian said in a statement that was fed up for having his books available in the audio.

“I can barely believe this happened,” he said. “Listen to Courtney B. Vance and will listen to the spoken wisdom of an American colossus, a prophetic man in whose 95 years all the intellectual, political, economic and racial options were deeply explored.”
