West Palm Beach, Florida – President Donald Trump switched the judgment of the Ozy Media Watson co -founder on Friday, just before he was submitted to prison for a sentence of almost 10 years in a case of financial conspiracy.
Watson was sentenced last year In a closely observed case that showed the implosion of an ambitious starting company.
The switching was confirmed by a senior White House official who was not authorized to speak publicly about the decision and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Breon Peace, who served as an American prosecutor based in Brooklyn at that time, said after the trial that the jury determined that “Watson was a scammer who told lies about lies to deceive investors to buy shares in his company.”
Ozy Media “collapsed under the weight of Watson’s dishonest schemes,” Peace said.
Trump has been aggressively using his presidential powers to travel with prayers and forgive the people he believes were unfairly treated by the justice system.
