Cleveland – Shohei Ohtani hit an initial home run for the second consecutive game and Los Angeles’ Dodgers defeated the Cleveland Guardians 7-2 on Monday night.
Will Smith was also deep for the Dodgers, who recovered after two of three games in New York fell to the Mets.
Los Angeles’s first five batters represented seven of their eight hits.
Ohtani did not waste time when he reached his homer 19th of the leading season of the Major Leagues. He drove a quick inside ball of Gavin Williams (4-3) in the first launch to the right field rodes. It was the second time that this year was deep in the first release.
It was the fifth initial homer of Ohtani this season and 17 since he arrived at the largest in Japan in 2018. It is the first time he has 19 home runs in the largest before June 1.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto (6-3) allowed two races in six tickets and struck out seven. Japanese law has an effectiveness of 1.97, which occupies the sixth place in the largest.
The Dodgers obtained a pair of insurance in the fifth in the single RBI of Teoscar Hernández and the Sacrifice fly of Max Muncy.
José Ramírez de Cleveland extended his batting streak to 19 games from his career with a pair of doubles. It is hitting .387 (29 for 75) with 12 extra-base blows and 11 races driven during that period.
Los Angeles RHP Dustin May (2-4, 4.09 era) faces Cleveland RHP Tanner Bibee (4-4, 3.57 era) in the middle game of the series.
