The former United States police officer, Tiara Brown, expires Skye Nicolson to become a femb’s weight champion

Sydney — Former police officer Tiara Brown became WBC worldwide weight champion by beating Skye Nicolson in a victory of divided decision on Saturday.

Brown, 36, took Nicolson’s belt when the judges scored the fight 97-93 and 96-94 in his favor, with a judge who scored him 96-94 for Nicolson.

Brown (19-0) fell to the canvas in tears when she was announced as the winner. It was the first professional loss for Nicolson (12-1), an Australian.

Brown had been official both in the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington DC and more recently for the Fort Myers Police Department in his native Florida.

Fort Myers’ PD had wished Brown good luck before the 10 round fight, saying on Instagram that she “has always been a fighter, both inside and outside the ring.”

Brown is a boxing coach with the Athletic League of the Fort Myers Police.

Speaking at the ring to the Dazn stationBrown gave thanks to God his hometown of Fort Myers and said they have been “more than 20 years of wanting this moment.”

The new champion said she is not yet concentrated in her next fight.

“I like my options, my options are good (but) at this time I just want to go home and eat some cakes and some cookies and see some cartoons,” Brown said.
