Tay-K raptor convicted of murder for the second time in Texas

San Antonio – A Texas rapper who acted as Tay-K and was better known for his 2017 “The Race” was convicted of murder by A second time After a jury found him guilty of fatally shooting a man from San Antonio.

Taymor McIntyre faces life imprisonment with the possibility of probation for the murder of Mark Anthony Saldivar, 23, in 2017. McIntyre had already been fulfilling a 55 -year sentence for a separate fatal shooting.

The prosecutors said McIntyre shot him to Saldívar after the rapper tried to steal him. The authorities said McIntyre had collected Saldívar, who was a photographer, in a car after asking him to take photos of the rapper for a new song.

McIntyre’s lawyers had criticized the police investigation of the shooting, claiming that the case depended too much on the selfish statements of the witnesses in the car when the shooting occurred.

“Taymor Mcintyre is not guilty of capital murder, murder or homicide, and the reason for that is very simple,” said John Hunter, one of McIntyre’s lawyers, to jurors during the final arguments last week. “You have to do well. You have to do the job. And this case clearly demonstrates that the work was not done.”

The jury found McIntyre not guilty of capital murder, which would have meant a life imprisonment without the possibility of probation. The jury will now listen to evidence in the punishment phase of the trial before deciding on a sentence.

McIntyre was also sentenced in 2019 for the death of Ethan Walker, 21, during an invasion of the house in 2016 in Mansfield, southeast of Fort Worth, Texas.

McIntyre registered “the race” while he was fleeing the authorities for the invasion of the house.
