Indianapolis – Rob Gronkowski will have an entertainment role for his first Indianapolis 500 next month, serving as the great “Pit Snake” marshal, the party of the painting that takes place during “the biggest show in the races.”
Gronkowski played 11 seasons in the NFL before retiring after the 2021 season. He now serves as an NFL studio analyst for Fox, who has assumed the position of exclusive announcer of the Indycar series and the Indy 500.
“This is one of the best combinations of sports and music that exist and in the best place,” Gronkowski said in a statement on Wednesday. “I am ready to start the party and celebrate the biggest race in the world.”
The Iillenium dance producer will lead an alignment of world artists of electronic music in the snake well in turn 3 of Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the May 25 race. Sammy Virji, two friends, Kayzo and Oliver Heldens are scheduled to act.
Fox’s partner from Gronkowski, Michael Strahan, is scheduled to drive the rhythm car for the 109th position of the Indy 500.
