Petrolero and tram collide at the crossroads in Germany, killing 1 person

Berlin – An oil tanker crashed with a tram at a cross in southwest Germany on Tuesday and both vehicles caught fire, leaving a dead person and several injuries, authorities said.

The collision occurred early Tuesday in Zeutern, part of the municipality of Ubstadt-Weiher north of the city of Karlsruhe. It was not clear immediately what led to the accident.

The truck was loaded with head oil. Both he and the tram caught fire, although firefighters could turn off the fire. The tram had seven passengers on board.

Police and firefighters said a person was dead, without giving details, the German news agency DPA reported. There were several injuries.
