Salt Lake City – Kelly Olynyk scored 26 points, the maximum of the season and had nine rebounds and the New Orleans movie used a 15-0 race in the fourth quarter to defeat Utah Jazz 128-121 on Sunday night.
CJ McCollum added 25 points and eight assists, Zion Williamson had 24 points and nine assists and Trey Murphy III scored 20 points to help the Pelicans win their fifth consecutive on jazz.
Keyonte George led the jazz with 28 points and Brice sensabaugh added 21. Oscar Tshiebwe had his first double race with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Utah had won the five previous meetings with New Orleans in Salt Lake City.
Utah took his first advantage when Cody Williams made a triple to open the fourth quarter. His basket highlighted a 27-8 race that put Utah 100-94. Tshiebwe directed the increase with five baskets.
But New Orleans beat Jazz again, going up 118-108 with remaining 4:02 after McCollum fed a 15-0 race with three consecutive triples.
The Pelicans led 17 at the beginning of the third quarter after scoring in eight consecutive possessions that cover both halves. Williamson fed the 18-3 increase that put New Orleans on 74-57 with four trays and help in two other baskets.
Pelicans: Williamson has 20 assists in his last two games. He is averaging 5.2 assists per game this season.
Jazz: Tshiebwe averaged 12.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in two games against New Orleans this season. It has appeared in five total games for Utah.
The three consecutive triples of McCollum highlighted the great career of the Pelicans that put them forward forever.
The three best scorers in New Orleans fired better than 55% from the field.
New Orleans is in Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. Utah receives Detroit on Monday.
