Nvidia will send 18,000 AI chips to Saudi Arabia

The US chips manufacturer. Nvidia will be associated with the Savereign Startup of Saudi Arabia, Humain, from Humain, and will send 18,000 chips to the Middle East nation to help boost a new data center project.

The association was revealed on Tuesday as part of a White House trip to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Saudi Arabia has been working to develop its artificial intelligence capacity and strengthen its cloud computing infrastructure with the help of foreign investment.

“AI, such as electricity and the Internet, is the essential infrastructure for each nation,” said Jensen Huang, founder of Nvidia. “Together with Humain, we are building AI infrastructure so that the people and companies of Saudi Arabia realize the bold vision of the kingdom.”

Vanguardia Blackwell Chips will be used in a 500 megawatt data center in Saudi Arabia, according to observations in the Saudi-US Investment Forum on Riyadh on Tuesday. The California company said that its first deployment will use its GB300 Blackwell chips, which are among the most advanced Nvidia AI chips at this time, and that they were only officially announced earlier this year.
