Charleston, SC – The family of a former BOEING Quality Control Manager Who committed suicide after the lawyers interrogated him about his complaint of complaint of alleged defects of Jumbo Jet has resolved a lawsuit against the aircraft manufacturer.

Barnett, a Boeing employee for a long time, shared his security concerns with journalists after retiring in 2017. He said that once he saw discarded metal shavings near the wiring for flight controls that could have cut off the wiring and cause a catastrophe. He also noticed problems with up to a quarter of oxygen systems in the 787 Boeing aircraft.
Barnett shared his concerns with his supervisors and others before leaving Boeing, but according to the lawsuit responded by ignoring him and then harassing him.
Barnett62, shot on March 9, 2024 in Charleston after answering lawyers’ questions for several days. He lived in Louisiana.
The document that announced the agreement and closing of the case in the Federal Court in South Carolina was a page and the only detail was that any of the parties can reopen the claim if the agreement is not ended in 60 days.
Boeing did not respond in the judicial documents before the agreement.
“We are saddened by John Barnett’s death and we extend our condolences to his family. Boeing took action several years ago to review and address the problems that Mr. Barnett raised,” said the company in a statement on Tuesday.
